Social Justice Network

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT SOCIAL JUSTICE?

Join us to see the bigger picture

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Isaiah 1:17

God gives us a responsibility. It is a responsibility to care for those around us; not just in our own homes and church, but beyond to the wider world. Out of this responsibility, Bristol Cathedral and the Diocese of Bristol are exploring establishing a Social Justice Network.

A recent Church of England report highlighted social responsibility as being at the heart of the Gospel.1
There can be value in looking beyond the parish and making connections with others: to learn, to see the bigger picture, and to gain encouragement.

This is the vision for the Social Justice Network - to see if we can be greater than the sum of our parts.
The network is a partnership between Bristol Cathedral and the Diocese of Bristol.

There are lots of possibilities in terms of how such a network might work.
However, at the very least, we would expect any network to do three things: Educate through mutual learning and theological reection Encourage Christians to put their faith into action in new and exciting ways Inform people of whats going on in Bristol, Swindon and across the Diocese.
