The diocesan strategy, Transforming Church. Together has been affirmed by the National Church.
It’s the first stage of a process which should culminate in a National Church grant to fund the practical plans and action our diocesan strategy calls for.
Locally, an information pack has been delivered to all parishes. “What we are encouraging you to do in your local community is to talk about that, read it, engage with it certainly at PCCs and wider,” says Neil Warwick, Archdeacon of Bristol.
Neil and his colleague Christopher Bryan, Archdeacon of Malmesbury would like all parishes to consider:
1. The Transforming Church. Together priorities and how they might impact in your local community.
2. Which parts of TCT have a particular resonance in your parish.
3. Keeping a note of questions you might have and what additional information might be useful.
“We’re going to be back out to you (in the New Year) with how we continue shaping and thinking about implementation,” says Christopher. “It would be great if you’ve already given that some thoughtful and prayerful attention,” he says.
