With under a month to go until the end of our open conversation with the region as part of Transforming Church. Together, we are pleased to announce that we have so far received over 1,000 responses to our online questionnaire.

The questionnaire is part of our process to help shape a new vision and set of priorities for the coming years. It will help us to understand what we do well, what we can change for the better and to create a positive way forward together.

Please do continue to share it with friends and family, whether they are inside the church, relate to it, or have never even given it a thought – we really want to hear from as many people in our region as possible. It will take less than ten minutes to complete.

Workshops have also been running across the diocese on Zoom, structured around six focused questions that explore what we do well and what we need to improve on. So far, 45 workshops have been held, with plenty more to come over the next few weeks.

There is still time for people to run a workshop in their local setting/ parish – if you are interested, please talk to your vicar or find out more here.

The diocese is keen to listen to voices we don’t often hear, and that the process of Transforming Church. Together is as inclusive as possible. As part of that aim, we are running workshops for specific groups of people to provide space for discussion about specific issues and identities.

As well as open workshops for all, there are focused workshops for particular groups, such as for black, Asian and minority ethnic people, LGBTQI+ people, disabled people, those with caring responsibilities, and for young people and students. Anyone is welcome to attend any or a number of the workshops. Please find all the details here.

Thank you to everyone who has taken part and helped spread the word so far. The closing date for both the questionnaire and workshops is 16 April and we look forward to hearing from even more people in the region in the next few weeks.
