Praying for those to be ordained - Rev Melanie's Story
Rev Melanie Griffiths will be ordained as a Priest on Saturday 2nd July and will be Assistant Curate in the Benefice of Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth and the Avonside Mission Area.
Please read Rev Melanie’s story below:
“As a part-time curate I feel in some ways I am just getting started! However, I increasingly appreciate how my role with Transform Europe Network and my parish role enhance each other.
“I am so thankful to both congregations for welcoming me as a Deacon after serving in the benefice as a licensed lay minister for six years. I have felt a growing confidence and new awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence as a Deacon and have especially enjoyed the opportunities to engage with the wider community as well as both congregations.
“I am pleased to be part of a great team. As I prepare to be ordained Priest, I look forward to continuing the journey with the church family and communities of Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth as God shapes me more fully into the minister he has called me to be.”
Look out for tomorrow's story!
