Places of worship protective security funding opens again for applications

The Security Minister has announced that the Places of Worship Protective Security Funding Scheme has again opened for applications.

Places of worship and associated faith community centres can apply for funding for a range of security measures to help tackle the threat of hate crime. This could include the installation of measures such as, but not limited to, CCTV cameras, security alarm systems and perimeter fencing to improve security protection at their site and help worshippers feel more safe.

Further details of the funding scheme and how to apply are available online. Applications can be made until 23:59 on 14th July 2022.

Please share details of the scheme and contact Security Funding if you have any meetings or events over the next few weeks that the Home Office could join to promote and explain the scheme.
