Huge congratulations to the winners of our Bristol DAC 2020-2022

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our Bristol DAC Awards for 2020-2022 at Christ Church Downend on 9 June with Rt Revd Vivienne Faull, Bishop of Bristol, Canon Simon Pugh-Jones, Ven Christopher Bryan and Ven Neil Warwick, and congratulations to winners!

Guests started the evening with refreshments followed by an introduction and welcome by Canon Simon Pugh-Jones, a talk by Rt Revd Viv Faull, Bishop of Bristol and then the presentation of the awards by the Ven Christopher Bryan, Archdeacon of Malmesbury and the Ven Neil Warwick, Archdeacon of Bristol.

The event closed with a prayer by Canon Simon Pugh-Jones and further refreshments served by volunteers from Downend church.

  

 

It was a lovely evening and we wanted to congratulate each of the deserving winners individually.

  • St Michael and All Angels, Highworth who won the award for their re-ordering project.
  • St Nicholas, Hardenhuish who won the award for their structural repairs to the Ricardo monument.
  • St Mary the Virgin, Nettleton who won the award for their Installation of composting toilet in the church grounds.
  • St Mary the Virgin, Almondsbury who won the award for restoration of bells.
  • St Peter, Bishopsworth who won the award for restoration of the clock dials.
  • St Mary's the Virgin, Redcliffe who won the award for their St John's Chapel stained glass windows restoration. 
  • St Giles, Stanton St Quintin who won the award for their re-ordering project.
  • St James, Mangotfield who won the award for their re-ordering project.
  • St Mary’s Purton who won the award for the renewal of the church building.
  • St Mary the Virgin, Almondsbury who won the award for their re-ordering project.
  • All Saints, Littleton Drew who won the award for their restoration of bells.
  • St Peter and St Paul, Great Somerford who won the award for their re-ordering project.
  • St Mary, Lydiard-Tregoze who won the award for their conservation of medieval wall painting and re-ordering project.
  • St Mary the Virgin, Olveston who won the award for their restoration of the tower; pinnacles and crockets, underpinning the vice tower foundations.
