A day of inspiration, keynote sessions and expert workshops for line managers, mentors, youth workers and childrens workers.
SWYM is running a new event aimed at supporting line managers and mentors in ministry roles. The Big SWYM Training Day, on 13 October, is open to anyone and will include a number of workshops:
- Line management of someone in a ministry role
- Mentoring of someone in a ministry role
- Mental health in young people
- Engaging children and families in the wider community
Among the speakers will be Joel Preston, youth minister at St Michaels in Stoke Gifford, who will be exploring the role of a line manager overseeing someone in ministry. The workshop will include a mixture of theory and practical tools and tips.
The day, which takes place Belmont Chapel, Exeter, runs from 10am to 4pm. Book a place for yourself or anyone from your team.
