On Sunday 3 October, the Rt Revd Vivienne Faull, Bishop of Bristol, confirmed a group of three people at a service held at All Saints Clifton.
"Often confirmation feels a bit like a 'rite of passage'. This was absolutely not the case today – three adults, each of whom, for different reasons, recognised the significance of this event and what it meant to them in their life. It was a very special day and great to see the support from their parishes and communities,” said Revd Charles Sutton, priest in charge at All Saints Clifton.
During confirmation, a person confirms the promises they made when they were baptised (or that were made for them if they were baptised as a baby). The bishop lays hands on the person’s head, and asks God’s Holy Spirit to dwell in their hearts, equipping them to journey deeper into the way of Jesus Christ.
The diocese’s next confirmation service will be on Sunday 24 October at Westbury Park Church.

Congratulations to those who were confirmed!
