New digital platform launched by Parish Giving Scheme

The long-awaited digital platform of the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS) has now launched. This enables churches to collect regular gifts from donors online, with Gift Aid automatically claimed on all eligible donations, and each church has its own professional online giving page.

The new platform is also designed to allow individuals to easily set up and manage their regular giving, with each donor having their own login to view and amend their gifts. Plus churches have access to a secure area to straightforwardly manage their giving statements online.

Feedback on the online platform has been hugely positive so far, and encouragingly hundreds of donors had already managed to find the new PGS website and set up a regular gift to their church entirely unprompted before the platform was officially launched – which inspires confidence that it’s a simple process!

If you haven't yet registered for the PGS, now's the ideal time. It's totally free of charge to parishes, and is a helpful tool to support your church's finances.

In this short video, Clare and Naomi - the Diocesan Giving Advisers - outline the benefits of the scheme. Feel free to share this with your PCC or congregations.

Many churches have found that membership of the PGS has been a real blessing over this past year, as regular giving has held up despite the challenges of church closures.
