Coronavirus - Guidance for Parishes

We appreciate that there has been growing concern within the Diocese about the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and the health and wellbeing of everyone connected to our churches and schools is our top priority. We also want to ensure that our churches continue to be places of community, fellowship, pastoral support and practical help.

This page contains advice, in line with that issued nationally by the Church of England, for churches, church-run groups, schools and individuals about the Coronavirus (COVID19) outbreak and the sensible precautions we can take.

Advice for individuals

The most up-to-date advice is available from Public Health England. If you are concerned about your health, you can contact the NHS for advice by phoning 111.

Advice for churches

The Diocese of Bristol is following the official Church of England guidance on Coronavirus. Updates will be posted on the Church of England website

As well as including helpful FAQs, the page also contains information about digital worship resources and churches which live-stream services for anyone who is unable to attend a church services.
