Starting a journey

I started a journey, of understanding who Jesus is, and who I am. Knowing Jesus has truly transformed my life.

As my curiosity about 'God stuff' grew I was invited to a Alpha course. Having absolutely no idea what the Bible was really about I was amazed by how God's words made sense in this century.

When at the course they talked about who is Jesus I realised that my understanding of God and Jesus was really basic. I truly thought that Christ was Jesus surname! However the Alpha people said there were no stupid questions, they reassured me throughout the course and encouraged me to keep asking questions. Alpha was a safe place for me to ask anything.

The Alpha course took me through different topics from how and why pray to exploring the Holy Spirit. All this started me on the journey to discover for myself whether all the information I was told was true or not. There was no pressure to go to church during or after Alpha. The decision was up to me.

The statement which really got me thinking was, "Jesus was either a mad man, a bad man, or was who was he said he was"!

With all that I learned during Alpha I felt that I couldn't walk away from the knowledge that he could be the son of God. It was there I started a journey, of understanding who Jesus is, and who I am. Knowing Jesus has truly transformed my life.
