The Bishop of Bristol, the Rt Revd Vivienne Faull, is delighted to announce that the Revd Canon Debbie Dewes will be the next priest-in-charge of the Upper Thames Benefice, comprising Cricklade, Ashton Keynes, Latton and The Leigh.

Debbie is at present vicar at St Luke’s, Brislington. She was ordained deacon in 1992 and was amongst the first women ordained as priests in the Church of England in 1994. Her ministry has been varied, with time spent in a large evangelical church in the midlands and also as precentor at Bath Abbey. In the Diocese of Bristol, apart from her parochial ministry, she has been one of the team teaching and encouraging our curates.

Revd Canon Debbie Dewes said: "This is such an exciting move to a benefice full of amazing ministry and love for God. I am really looking forward to joining the team and seeing where God will lead us all next".
