Christian Environmental Charity, Operation Noah, is hosting an event for church treasurers and finance decision-makers, exploring how church finances can support climate action, nature and social justice.

The Green Investment event, will take place at Bristol Cathedral on 10 June and is aimed specifically at those responsible for financial decision-making in churches. The opportunity looks to align parish financial stewardship with the Diocese's wider mission, including responding to the climate crisis.
The event will offer practical insights into how churches can make informed decisions about investments and financial resources, taking into account environmental and social impact alongside financial return. It complements the recent Church of England guidance on VAT reliefs for energy-saving technologies, which highlights how building projects, such as installing solar panels or heat pumps, can contribute to sustainability goals while benefiting from temporary zero-rating until March 2027.
Together, these opportunities provide practical ways for churches to consider how both their financial decisions and their buildings can support long-term sustainability, community benefit and mission.
The event is free to attend, and treasurers are encouraged to book a place.
