New Stewardship and Funding Updates
At the Giving to God workshops last year you told us that you wanted more regular stewardship and funding updates. So we are planning to run a regular slot at the bottom of the monthly enewsletter with links to information we think youll find helpful. Well be adding information on topics such as grants, gift aid, funding workshops, as well as highlighting new and existing resources. We are also looking out for input from you too so please do make a note to check this regularly if you think it will be useful to you and share your good ideas and stories!
Parish Giving Scheme Update
St Alban Westbury Park is the 55th Bristol Diocese church to join the Parish Giving Scheme, and we hope to welcome many more of you in 2019. The PGS cuts down on administration of gift aid, and also allows givers to add an automatic inflationary increase if they wish. Introducing the Parish Giving Scheme alongside your Annual Giving Review is a good idea, and many churches have seen a significant uplift in giving as a result. The Diocese meet all the costs, so dont miss out! Send back your registration form today, and we will get you up and running as soon as we can.
Ecclesiastical Home Insurance Offer
Until the end of 2019, Ecclesiastical (whose profits go towards the grant-making All Churches Trust) is currently running an offer where they will give 130 to your church for every new home insurance policy. The Diocese is not endorsing them in any way, but if you are interested in finding out more, visit the website where you can also order posters and other publicity to promote the scheme if you wish.
Legacy Toolkit FREE resources
We are looking for good stories about churches who have used the legacy toolkit, particularly if you have had any legacies promised or received as a result. Wed also love to hear some stories of legacies left to the church whether or not you used the toolkit. And if youre wondering what free legacy resources you are missing out on, have a look! Cornerstone Grants
The Cornerstone Grant Programme offers grants of between 10,000 and 50,000 towards the cost of urgent structural repair projects costed at more than 100,000 including VAT. Deadline: 4 March 2019
