The Diocese of Bristol is pleased to announce the appointment of the Revd Rosy Ashley as Adviser for Parish Development. She begins this role with immediate effect.
The Adviser for Parish Development is a new role in the Diocese, funded as part of the Transforming Church Together programme. In this half-time role, Rosy will be enabling parishes, deaneries and Mission Areas to develop their mission and ministry and supporting parishes in vacancy to develop their vision for the future.
Rosy said:
“I am delighted to have joined the Mission and Ministry Support team in the new role of Adviser for Parish Development which I am doing alongside a part-time Rector role in a Somerset benefice. I shall greatly enjoy meeting parishes and supporting all the great work already going on whilst also helping assess, articulate and implement vision for the future.”
The Revd Dr Simon Taylor, Director of Mission and Ministry Support, said:
“I’m delighted that Rosemary has taken on the role of Adviser for Parish Development. This is a crucial role in enabling parishes to build on what they are already doing well and to develop a vision of where God is calling them in the future. I look forward to working with her as she supports those in local mission and ministry.”
