Praying for those to be ordained - Julie's Story
Julie Summers will be ordained as a Deacon on Sunday 3rd July and will be Assistant Curate in the Avonside Mission Area comprising The Benefice of Stoke Bishop, The Benefice of St Edyth Sea Mills, The Benefice of Shirehampton and The Benefice of Lawrence Weston and Avonmouth.

“It’s over ten years ago when I felt the nudge from God and friends to consider ordained ministry. Since then, it’s been a slow process of discerning when and how that would happen. I knew I wanted to keep nursing, so I went part time a few years ago and decided to continue doing my nursing alongside my ordained ministry. It’s with great joy and thanks that I am here today with my family and friends to celebrate this moment. I am grateful for the love and support they have given me on this journey, and a massive thanks to God for the opportunity to serve him and others in this way.”
