An Invitation from the Church of England Youth Council

The Church of England Youth Councils next event is in just 22 days time. This April CEYCs event is titled Thy Kingdom Come: Blessed are the Peacemakers. We live in a divided world and constantly hear of division and opposition to others viewpoints on both a local and global scale. On the 22nd April 2017 at St Marks Church, Peterborough attendees will unpack what these divisions mean to the way we lead our lives.

So many people are working together to heal the divides in our world and build bridges, yet this good news escapes the coverage of the media.

We believe that as Christians we should be taking a lead in healing these divides, both locally and globally!

We would like to extend our invitation to clergy, youth leaders and where possible young people themselves to make sure that not one young person aged 14-25 in the Church of England misses out because they had not heard about the event. Its free and lunch is included in the day!

For a bit more context:

CEYC is a youth-led national forum for 14 to 25 year olds to engage with topics that are pertinent to their day to day lives and the life of the church.

We discuss and debate topics from the environment and politics to discipleship and healing division. CEYC aims to represent aims to serve God by actively representing, enriching, and engaging with the young people of the Church of England.

We have an event once a year in April for all young people in the Church of England and encourage any young person to engage with us year round through our website, www.ceyc.org .

Within this network we ask Diocesan Youth Officers/Advisers to invite two young people aged 16-25 to represent each diocese at our yearly residential in November.

If you would like to find out more about CEYC or to actively support our work please become a friend on our website, www.ceyc.org/signup or get in touch with me at ceyc.intern@churchofengland.org
