Funding available to churches in April from the Parish Accessibility Fund

Step-free access at Stanton St QuintinFunding is available for various works to your building and our Church Buildings and Fundraising teams here at the Diocese can support you to access it.

From 1 April 2026, up to £50,000 is available for large projects to enhance accessibility and inclusion within parishes from the Parish Accessibility Fund. Parishes with small projects can apply for funding up to £5,000 while larger works could be eligible to receive up to £50,000.

Small projects could include creating a new support group for disabled people, improving signage with inclusivity in mind or enable training for staff, volunteers and your congregation.

While larger projects include structural alterations to buildings which improve accessibility, installing hearing-aid loops, purchasing appropriate seating and more. One example is the image to the right showing the step-free access provided at Stanton St Quintin as part of their reordering.
