Could you be the next Archdeacon of Malmesbury?

First published 20th September 2018

Enabling mission across a varied area as part of a changing senior team.

We're looking for the next Archdeacon of Malmesbury, to bring passion, energy and focus as they work with an archdeaconry that includes every kind of ministry context.

The archdeaconry, which spans north and east greater Bristol, the rural areas and towns of South Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire, and Swindon, is full of variety and potential. Its two Mission Areas and the Resourcing church in Swindon are examples of the kind of pioneering mission that the Diocese is looking to extend.

The new Archdeacon will:

  • get alongside clergy and lay leaders to help them develop plans for mission and ensure they are put into practice;
  • build relationships with clergy that encourage their ministries to flourish;
  • look for and take fresh opportunities for growth across the archdeaconry.
