Volunteer Adviser
Hours: 28 hours per week (Part-time)
Salary: £31,500 per annum (£25,200 pro-rata)
Location: The Diocesan Office, Hillside House, 1500 Parkway North, Stoke Gifford, Bristol, BS34 8YU

This role is pivotal to help us deliver our volunteer strategy, which forms part of our wider strategic work to Transform Church.Together. You will work with colleagues across the Bristol Diocese to encourage volunteering so that we sustain and enhance the life of our parishes in their spiritual and practical ministry within their local communities.
The role offers a great opportunity to work alongside lay and ordained colleagues, contributing your expertise to support and further develop vibrant volunteering across the Diocese. No two days will be the same for you – you’ll find yourself taking part in strategic development, as well as practical work to provide locally focussed guidance and support.
To thrive in this role, you will draw on your experience of working strategically and practically with volunteers, as well as your direct experience of volunteering, so that you are able to build strong credible relationships with parishes. This role is unique within the Diocese, and whilst you will have management support you will need to be a self-starter and feel confident about using your initiative. You will equally need to be comfortable using and analysing data, and in preparing delivery reports for strategy boards.
