The Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme (GASDS) allows parishes to claim a Gift-Aid style repayment to be received on small cash and contactless donations of 20 or less.
From 6 April 2017, the scheme has been simplified for parishes with more than one church building, who claim on the Community Buildings element of the scheme. You no longer need to worry about having 10 people attend services, and can now include donations from visitors.
The Parish Resources website includes guidance on these and other changes. Parishes with just one church can continue to use the Top-Up element of the scheme.
