Director of External Relations
Accountable to: Chief Executive Officer (Diocesan Secretary)
Type of position: Full time, permanent
Hours: 35 hours / week
Location: Hybrid with 2-3 days per week in Bristol
Salary: £63,000 plus pension
We are looking for a senior fundraising leader with strong marketing and interpersonal skills, sympathetic to the vision and values of the Church of England.
Job summary
This role will implement, and in the longer-term renew the Diocesan Board of Finance’s Fundraising, Marketing, Communications and Income Generation (FMCIG) strategy; in order to raise its profile, increase income and build partnerships across the public, private, and third sectors.
The role holder will share in the management and leadership of the Diocesan Support Services as part of the Staff Leadership Team (SLT), playing a vital part in the collective direction of the organisation, ensuring that the Diocesan strategy feeds into the operational FMIG activity, and that their team runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
