That quick coffee we buy on the go often feels insignificant - but the cost can add up more than we realise. Imagine if even one of those weekly coffees was turned into something that creates real, lasting change. We’re inviting our worshippers to consider increasing their weekly giving by the equivalent of a single cup of coffee — just £3–£4 a week.
Why Giving Matters
Our churches and ministries serve communities every single day. Your generosity helps enable:
- Clergy and pastoral care
- Youth and children’s work
- Community outreach and support
- Keeping our churches open and active places of faith
Regular giving allows the Church to be present where it is needed most. Together, we sustain ministry today and for the future.
The Challenge We Face
Across our parishes, the cost of ministry is rising. To continue serving communities and future generations, we need to grow regular giving.
The Invitation: Just a Cup of Coffee a Week
We are inviting worshippers to consider increasing their weekly giving by the cost of a cup of coffee — around £3–£4 per week. It’s an achievable step for many, but together it makes an extraordinary difference.
Imagine the Impact
If the 9,000 people attending church on a Sunday each gave £4 more per week:
- £36,000 more every week
- £1.87 million more every year
- With Gift Aid, this covers the rising gap in ministry costs
- Strengthening ministry, mission and community work across the Diocese
