Kingdom Seeds in Local Soils - Diocesan Pilgrimage 2026

Part of Thy Kingdom Come and our Rhythm of Life

This May, you are invited to step into a nine‑day journey that weaves across the whole Diocese of Bristol—an adventure of prayer, story, and hope. Walk with us on our Bristol Diocesan Pilgrimage 2026, as together we walk, pray, and sow seeds of God’s kingdom in every corner of our diocese.

A Journey rooted in Prayer

Each day will follow a gentle rhythm of prayer, reflection, and fellowship. As we walk from parish to parish, we’ll pause at local churches and schools to pray for God’s work in each community and deanery—lifting up the people, ministries, and possibilities of every place we pass through. On your journey be open to encounter God through his word, creation and the people you meet along the way.

Sowing seeds and growing Faith

Along the way we will carry seeds from place to place, planting them as we go—a simple, powerful sign of the growth that God brings. These seeds will mark our route and remind us that the kingdom of God is always taking root, often quietly, but always with promise.

Stories to Inspire

Our route is rich with history and alive with present-day faith. We’ll hear stories of Christians—past and present—whose lives witness to God’s faithful presence. As we walk, we hope you will be encouraged, inspired, and renewed.

Join us for part of a day or the whole nine days

Everyone is welcome, whether you join us for:

  • Your local deanery stretch,
  • A single day,
  • Several days, or
  • The full pilgrimage.

Wherever you join, you’ll be walking with others who long to see God’s kingdom flourish across our diocese.

We would love to welcome some of you to join us for the whole pilgrimage or a significant part of it. This group will form the core community at the centre. If you want to join the core community please tick the appropriate boxes on the reservation page.

Hospitality along the Way

Local churches will generously offer overnight accommodation and evening meals at the end of each day for those who are walking for more than one day. (Bags and sleeping mats, etc. will be transported from the start to the finish of the day.) Depending on the route on any given day, pilgrims can bring a packed lunch or enjoy refreshments offered by churches as we pass through.
