Rhythm of Life for Primary Schools

Help your pupils flourish with simple, life-giving practices rooted in Christian tradition. The Rhythm of Life for Schools programme offers ready-to-use resources designed to support spiritual development and wellbeing across the school year.

A healthy rhythm of life can help our young people thrive. Together, teachers and clergy can create pathways to faith and wellbeing, equipping a generation with a deep sense of belonging and hope.

What is a rhythm of life?

A rhythm of life is a framework of daily and weekly practices that encourage balance, reflection, and spiritual growth. These rhythms, such as prayer, gratitude, rest, and acts of kindness, can help children develop healthy habits that support their emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. By embedding these patterns into school life, we give pupils firm foundations for flourishing both now and in the future.

Will I need to do extra planning work?

No - quite the opposite! The Rhythm of Life for Schools resources are designed to save you time and make planning easier. Each pack includes ready-to-use assemblies, classroom activities, and reflections, so you can focus on what matters most: supporting your pupils’ wellbeing and spiritual growth.

What is in the resource pack?

  • Six themed PowerPoint templates for use throughout the school terms
  • A leaders' guide to the year-long programme of activities
  • A pupil handbook for interactive learning
  • Assembly and classroom content to reduce planning time
  • Activities and reflections to help children discover healthy rhythms
  • Stories and ideas from other schools to inspire engagement

Term-by-term breakdown
