VACANCY FOR FOUNDATION GOVERNOR – LEA & GARSDON PRIMARY SCHOOL

All Church of England Schools must have Foundation Governors and they are representatives of the Church of England on the Governing Body.  They are a vital link between the parish and the role entails:

  • nurturing, encouraging and challenging the school in living out its Christian foundation;
  • working as a team with other members of the governing body to fulfil the functions required of school governors; and
  • encouraging the school in supporting and developing the Christian foundation of the school.

To support Church school governors in developing the effectiveness of their school and Foundation roles, full training is provided by the Education Team of the Diocese.

One of our present foundation governors is due to end their term in the summer this year and we are very keen to replace her.  We have a very exciting time ahead of us at the school with the expansion plans.

If you would like to know more about the role or apply for the role, please email Rev Steve Wilkinson at rector@woodbridgegroup.co.uk.
