Tap Twinning: A Tearfund campaign to Stop The Spread of Coronavirus

Vulnerable communities need more than a clean loo in order to thrive.

Toilet, taps and training are a lifesaving trio that help flush away poverty.

And when it comes to stopping the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the communities where Tearfund works, taps (for hand washing) and training (to understand how viruses spread) are vital.

That’s why Tearfund is stepping up their hygiene training worldwide in response to coronavirus – teaching communities how to wash their hands correctly and to limit the spread of the virus.

Tap Twinning is how you can help. It’s like Toilet Twinning – but with taps!

Here’s how it works: Your £60 donation will help provide hygiene promotion and support in vulnerable communities across more than 45 countries. So people know how to protect themselves from Covid-19 through handwashing and good hygiene.

In return, Tearfundwill send you a special Tap Twinning certificate to thank you for your support during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Every time you look at the certificate on your kitchen or bathroom windowsill, you’ll know that you have helped vulnerable communities that need our support the most. People whose immune systems are weakened because of poverty and malnutrition; people who don’t have ready access to healthcare.
