Giving and stewardship webinars 2021

Over the coming months, a number of workshops and webinars will explore different aspects of good stewardship practice.

Click on each heading below to find out more and reserve your space.

Each session will be run twice: once in the morning and then again in the evening, so that as many people as possible can attend. While it's preferable to attend the live session, so that you can participate and ask questions, they will be recorded and uploaded here for anyone to watch again.

Rural giving webinar

Monday 8th March, 11 - 12.30am, and 7-8.30pm

These webinars explore the specific challenges and opportunities of encouraging giving in rural church contexts. It will explore a wide range of topics, including options for contactless devices left in unmanned churches, inviting gifts from the wider village community, and preaching on generosity across a whole benefice.

Giving & resources update

Monday 15th March, 11 - 12.30am, and 7-8.30pm

These workshops explore the latest stewardship resources, and provide an opportunity to share and learn together. The sessions will cover contactless giving, online giving platforms, the Generosity Week materials, the freshly launched Finance Forum, and the new PCC Giving Review.

An introduction to the PGS

Monday 22nd March, 11 - 12.30am, and 7-8.30pm

If your church hasn't yet signed up to the Parish Giving Scheme, and would like to find out more, this session will introduce how the scheme works, its benefits, and the added incentive of the free online giving function.

Launch of Parish Giving Scheme digital platform

Wednesday 24th March, 2-3.30pm and Thursday 25th March, 7-8.30pm

The Parish Giving Scheme has been running in the Diocese of Bristol since 2017, but this year the long-awaited new digital giving function is being launched. This will allow donors to set up and manage their direct debit to your church via a secure online portal, and allow Treasurers to easily access their donation information online too. Come along to find out how the new website works, and take a look at the refreshed materials that accompany the relaunch.

You're welcome to come along whether your church is part of the PGS or not; however, the webinar won't focus on the basics of the scheme, but instead simply introduces this digital platform. If you'd like more of an introductory workshop, we suggest you register for the session on 22nd March.
